I AM curious as to why columnist David Limbaugh wouldn't refer to anyone as Americans in his recent column. I've reread the column. He's divided us all into subcategories, but we're not Americans to him. We are Americans, all of us. The doctors, the lawyers, the unemployed, everyone. We're all Americans. Let's act like it.
WHILE WORKING in Atlanta, I had a painful case of bursitis in my shoulder. While filling out my paperwork in a doctor's office, I noticed that there were several Hispanic men being assisted with their paperwork by an English-speaking translator. I thought to myself, I'm probably the only one in here with health insurance. When it came my turn for treatment, I was turned away because my insurance was from out of state. This is a case where my taxes could have been paying for their care when I was turned away. This really happened.
I WANT to thank the men from Lynwood Baptist Church who picked up all of the limbs and put them at the curb. I was unable to do it, and I really appreciate what they did. God bless.
THANK YOU to Chris Lix for sending his crew out in the neighborhood to clean our driveways. It was a special Valentine's Day surprise. Thanks again.
I WANT to express my gratitude and appreciation to the AmerenUE workers for restoring power to my home. I feel blessed to have the caring workers to help me when I was in need. It is deeply appreciated. Thank you.
