Hello. I am 89 years old, and I am tired of the Ferguson protesters. If I were able and an honor guard were held for security persons and policemen, I'd try to be in it. We need to do everything we can to support them. I feel very sorry for the loss of their child. But it's no excuse for the behavior of destroying property and all that sort of thing. They need to be arrested and punished. Anybody breaks the law, they need to be punished.
Many states have passed laws that say marriage is between one woman and one man. The Congress passed the Defense of Marriage Act, and it was signed into law by Bill Clinton. Now many federal courts are changing the law. They are also changing the Biblical meaning of marriage. Please look up the word marriage in the 1828 Webster's Dictionary. It is the act of uniting a man and woman for life. How do the courts change that definition?
Loved the article about the Marine who nabbed the purse snatcher. However, I would respectfully request that this newspaper refrain from using the terms ex-Marine or former Marine. Once a Marine, always a Marine. Semper Fi, my brother.
Yes, I want to say something about the politically correct police that appears to be making great strides in America. You know, they want the Washington Redskins and different tribes, like here in Cape, the college name, they want to do away with all these Indian names like Redskins and Indians and stuff like that. All right, then we're going to have to change Missouri and Illinois and a bunch of other states because they're named after Indians. And rivers are named after Indians. So we're going to have to change them too. We've got to be completely politically correct, if we're going to be a little bit.
Have you ever seen the like of the political candidates throwing mud and dirt at each. And what they don't realize is, when they're throwing dirt, they're slowly losing ground themselves. And I'll not be a part of that. I may not even show up at the polls this year. I'm about sick of all of them.
