Leaving school early

I predict it is an experiment that will work. Scott City's decision to allow students to leave school early to, say, go to work, will, surprisingly to some, lead to a great leap forward in standardized test scores.

Global warming

Scientists were eager to hop on the global warming bandwagon. They had dollar signs in their eyes when they saw the government grants to do the research. Computer programs were loaded with garbage data to predict it. It was not real science. Like it has been said, "Always follow the money."

Could it possibly be that the ACA was not read before it was passed and all the flaws since found are the downfall and not the "stingy and self-centered Republicans" you are blaming? e-tickets, intersections

Hey, this e-ticketing sounds great as it will give the police more of an opportunity to address all those who continue to run stop lights, especially left-hand turn-signal lights. Oh, but first the police will have to monitor intersections in order to ticket these people who run these signal lights. If the city wants to increase ticket revenue, then have the police start sitting at major intersections, especially William Street and Mt. Auburn and they could write e-tickets all day long.
