Not frivolous

THIS IS regard to the caller who hopes that Tina Ott's lawsuit will be thrown out. The police officer knew exactly whom he was chasing, where they lived and where they were going. He felt it necessary to chase them on bad roads far out of his jurisdiction at speeds. He should have known there would be an accident. Tina Ott was not driving. She did not run a stop sign. She has a small child and is grievously injured. I don't believe this is a frivolous lawsuit.

Driving experience

JUST BECAUSE somebody had an accident involving an elderly person with Alzheimer's doesn't mean teenagers are safer. Some elderly citizens have no business behind the wheel of a car, but there are many more teenagers who think they know how to drive who need more experience somewhere besides our highways where they might harm the rest of us.

Caravan ideas

I WOULD like to comment on the Cardinal Caravan. I had a good time. I have been to the Cardinal Caravans several years. I've enjoyed it every year. I plan on going again next year. But I hope the city does it differently next year. They ran out of raffle tickets before the event started. And I understand the autograph sessions should be for the kids, but there are a lot of adults who would like to shake the players' hands. It's the adults who pay for the tickets and support the Cardinal organization financially. I hope next year when the Cardinal Caravan comes to Cape Girardeau the city will have some of this stuff worked out. Anybody who pays for a ticket ought to be allowed to get an autograph or at least meet their his player.

Thanks for money

MY FRIEND and I went shopping after work on Saturday. I only brought a $10 bill with me, so I asked my friend to lend me 50 cents. A girl overheard me and gave me the 50 cents. I thought that was nice of her, and I want to thank her.
