Southeast Missouri State University's football team is off to a tremendous start to the 2010 season.
The team is 4-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play. The Redhawks were recognized this week with a No. 25 ranking in the Sports Network media poll.
Southeast is offering a special deal for families attending Saturday's game. Twenty-nine dollars will buy two adult tickets and two children's tickets along with $20 in concessions to be used at the stadium. This special deal must be purchased in advance of the game at the Athletic Administrative office on Broadway.
The game festivities begin at 4 p.m. with a tailgate on Bellevue Street. Free food and drinks from No Bull BBQ and River Eagle Distributing will be available. A live band will play at the tailgate, and the Golden Eagles Marching Band will also make an appearance. The tailgate will continue until the 6 p.m. kickoff.
Saturday's game will also be a "black out" night. Fans are encouraged to wear black to the game. At halftime, black Southeast football T-shirts will be thrown into the stands courtesy of the game sponsor, Wood & Huston Bank.
General admission tickets for the game can be purchased at the Athletic Administrative office, or, starting at 3 p.m. Saturday, at the stadium ticket office.
