To the editor: I want to thank Mark Baker. His letter provided me with a wonderful chuckle. How one can believe that the GOP is the bully in the current situation on Capitol Hill is beyond all reason. What Baker seems to ignore is that the powers that be on his side are actually the more accurate example of this boorish behavior...

If the left was as open and fair-minded as they seem to believe they are, then let's have the judicial nominations come up for a simple up-or-down vote.

But, that's the rub, isn't it? The nominations might pass, and democracy might prove itself once again.

Every time Barbara Boxer or Charles Schumer stops a nominee from going to a vote, they are the bully.
