We have been told that the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri, certain individuals at Southeast Missouri State University and others have tried to influence the city to keep our organization's members off the production.

What's going on? What is happening is local politics at its worst. At the heart of this is the plan for some of our local artists to form a new Cape Artist's Council to compete with the current one. And they are trying to crush our group and our dreams in the process of securing their own power and influence. They are scratching each other's backs while local filmmakers suffer. For shame.
