To the editor

In his recent letter, Alan Journet complained of ignorance in the global-warming debate. He is right. There is a lot of ignorance on the part of those who believe it is a man-made event rather than a naturally occurring one. The current phase of warming we are in now has been occurring for over 10,000 years. How else does one account for the fact that the glacial ice sheet that once covered most of North America has retreated to where it is today? Name a single car or factory that was around back then.
