To the editor:

I was spending this Thanksgiving Day doing my radio shift. As I opened the newspaper and began to browse through, I read your editorial. In the background I had the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Jackson singing praises of thankfulness. Your words fit with the music, and it was all very uplifting to hear.

Thank you for this historical slant and a remembering of what this holiday has meant throughout the history of our nation up to the present. My hope is to share this tradition with my family, children and grandchildren.

We appreciate the wholesome layout we have seen in your publication recently. I caught the information contributed by the schools, both public and private, giving the names of students who have done excellent work. I missed seeing Christian Faith Academy, which I believe to also have honor students. From what I hear they are doing a fine job raising young people of excellence in this community.
