On behalf of the Delta Queen Steamboat Co., I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the citizens of Cape Girardeau and the surrounding areas for the enthusiastic welcome our new American Queen received.

People like you throughout America's heartland have lined riverbanks and locks to cheer her on, whether rain, shine or the middle of the night. This genuine display of affection for the timeless legend of the river's paddlewheel steamboats has been a truly humbling and joyous experience for our management, staff and crews. Our thanks go out to all of you.

For your edification, listed below are the dates during the next few months that the American Queen and Delta Queen will be in your region: American Queen -- Sept. 5 and Oct. 18. Delta Queen -- Sept. 16.
