LETTERS: SINGING AND LEARNING

To the editor:

"Ridin' on That Valentine Train." Did you ever hear that song about a train full of love? You did if you were a student of Mrs. Lois Farmer at Southeast Missouri State University. It is just one of many songs she taught her music education class. And, thanks to her, it is just one of many I teach my first-grade class. Her love for music touched so many of her students, even a non-musical student like me. She gave us the confidence and enthusiasm to incorporate music with every subject. Her influence is being felt in many classrooms today. And, without a doubt, she is in Heaven "Ridin' on That Special Valentine Train."
