Since the 1940s, the two parties -- because of the Communist scare -- set up rules for organizing new parties. With that they became the only political system. This means they could set their price for allowing another party in. In a sense, it was a dictatorship.

Witness the treatment of Ross Perot's paraty in the debate argument. It is strictly a move to stop a party which thousands have signed petitions to get on the ballot in several states, and it has become an up-and-coming party.

Is this fair? It does prove the only way we will ever get change is to vote in the new party.
