Information in article was offensive

To the editor:

I am writing on behalf of a great friend, devoted father and loving human being, Billy Jones. I'm a big fan of the Southeast Missourian Web site, semissourian.com, but you really offended me with the information in your story and the light in which you portrayed Jones. You have the right to write anything you feel is acceptable, but just for a brief second put yourself in the shoes of a close family member or beloved friend. The article was nothing but slander. The man was murdered, not convicted for the second time.
