To the editor:
After reading John Blackwell's letter in the Missourian, "Let's have tax breaks for seniors," I couldn't agree with him more. Most of us have worked most of our lives and paid school taxes all those years. Our children are all grown and out of school. We should no longer have to pay those taxes. Many of us, myself included, find it a squeeze to pay real estate taxes every year on our homes we worked so hard for. And of course we all know the school taxes are the biggest bite. Our Social Security checks only stretch so far. Let's all write our legislators about this.
