To the editor: I have heard it said that history does not repeat itself, but it does rhyme. The Old Testament has many stories of when God's people followed him they prospered, and when they turned away they were destroyed. 2 Chronicles 36:14-23: In this passage Jerusalem is filled with immorality upon immorality (much like the U.S.). Just like Jerusalem, this country can be destroyed. It is possible to lose the war on terror. Babylon did it to Jerusalem in Chronicles. Whom are we fighting now?...

To the editor:

I have heard it said that history does not repeat itself, but it does rhyme.

Whom are we fighting now?

No matter how you look at it the U.S. was founded on God-fearing principles. We have abandoned our foundation of principles that made our country great. So what can we do?

1. Pray the Lord is listening.

2. Jesus said, "They praise me with their lips but their hearts are far from me."

We must think of the Lord when we go to vote, not our political party.

Even worse is to not vote at all, which is not a vote against immorality. If you do not consider morals when you elect people to make laws, then you get immoral laws and politicians.

If politicians know they would get defeated by supporting immoral laws, they would never support them.

This is common sense and will work absolutely.

If we don't succeed, I will not say shame on me. I will say shame on you.
