To the editor:A Yuletide memory: Our son was 4 years old and needed a red wagon. In the store he gave his opinion on red wagons and other things as well, and the clerk, a lady who reminded us of her German Perry County heritage in each sentence, said sternly to us, "That boy is a chatterbox."
All of that was years ago. The store is gone, with its wagons. Our son continues as a trained chatterbox, speaking each Sunday to a group that loves him. I have not yet told him to stop his chatter. The clerk, if she is still living, must be 120. God bless us, everyone.
