As the Christmas season approaches, the Central High School Choral Department offers the public of Cape Girardeau the opportunity to ring in the Yuletide season with the pomp and pageantry of Merrie Old England by presenting the annual Madrigal Feaste. Central students from as far back as 1978 have been decked out in costumes providing the atmosphere of Renaissance England. The Royal Court leads the evening with comedy, song and dance while the guests enjoy a scrumptious dinner prepared by Celebrations restaurant. Each toast and course is presented with song and pageantry.
With the celebration of 100 years of Central High School, this year's feast promises to be extra-special. On Dec. 9 and 10, the choirs will once again usher in the coming holiday with Ye Olde Madrigals Feaste. For reservations, call the high school at 335-8228.
