With 2011 coming to an end and a new year just around a corner, one resolution many might have for the new year is to grow their business. Two free training opportunities through the Cape Girardeau Area Magnet and the Cape Girardeau and Jackson area chambers of commerce on how to do this will take place Wednesday.
Speakers and presentation topics include:

* David Meyer, Missouri Department of Economic Development: "Missouri's Economic Development Tools for Expanding/Growing Businesses"
* Drew Christian, SEMO Regional Planning and Economic Development Commission: "RPC's Revolving Loan Fund"
* Jessie Beasley, Douglas C. Greene Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship: "Accion Micro Loan Program."
The first presentation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce, 125 E. Main St., and the second from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce, 1267 N. Mount Auburn Road.
Whether you are already a business owner or are thinking about becoming an entrepreneur, consider attending one of these training opportunities.
