The National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), which operates the Be The Match Registry, does want to clarify, however, that we do not charge $100 for new members to join the Be The Match Registry. ...

The article in the Southeast Missourian titled "Free bone marrow donor drive today in Cape Girardeau" does a great job describing the need for more people to join the Be The Match Registry as a potential marrow donor. The National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), which operates the Be The Match Registry, does want to clarify, however, that we do not charge $100 for new members to join the Be The Match Registry. Voluntary, tax-deductible contributions through our Be The Match Foundation help add more members to the Be The Match Registry, giving more patients hope for a cure. Everyone is asked to give what they can.
