The latest report from the Congressional Budget Office indicates that if the current rate of debt creation continues, we could have a deficit of $20 trillion in 10 years. David Walker, former head of the Government Accountability Office, is concerned about our unfunded obligations of $56 trillion.

We must stop expanding our debt and set a new direction for fiscal responsibility. The U.S. has been sliding down the road to socialism for many years. Our president is making a big push to throw us over the cliff.

Doctors, insurance companies and private businesses are being eyed with suspicion. Doctors are suspected of making patient diagnosis based on their fees. Defensive medicine and business liability exposure to defend against frivolous lawsuits is estimated to be $200 billion per year.

I have been in business 57 years. I have experienced two lawsuits that should have never gone to court. We listened patiently to false statements. We won both lawsuits with little or no payout to the dismay of the trial lawyers. The cost to defend us was high. Most lawsuits are settled out of court because of the expense of going to trial. Insurance companies find it less expensive to give in to a lawyer's demands in many cases.

We need a "loser pays" law, which would make us competitive with the other major nations of the world.
