CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Walter Wright of Charleston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Sparks Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Willie Eadie will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Wright, 85, died Sunday, July 12, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born Dec. 7, 1906, at Wolf Island, son of Jim and Virginia Johnson Wright.
Wright was a farmer, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include two sisters, Frankie Harris and Opal Hayes of Charleston.
