Melvin H. Biester, 84, of Jackson died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. An American Legion honor guard service will be at 7 p.m...

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. An American Legion honor guard service will be at 7 p.m.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
