She was born Jan. 27, 1939, in Blakely, Ga., to the late Fred and Bessie Mae Jewell.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time Saturday at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 1029 S. Benton St.
The funeral will be at noon Saturday at the church, with Johnny Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
