MOUNDS, Ill. -- Joseph S. Adams, 62, of Mounds died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at the John Cochran VA Medical Center in St. Louis.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time Saturday at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cairo, Ill.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Interment will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Mound City National Cemetery, with the Rev. Jimmie Ellis officiating.

Massie Funeral Home in Mounds is in charge of arrangements.
