MOUNDS, Ill. -- Franklin G. "Jerry" Parrott, 86, of Mounds died Friday, Feb. 13, 2015, at the Marion, Illinois, VA Community Life Center after a brief illness.

He served in the Army during World War II.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at Mighty Rivers Worship Center in Cairo, Illinois.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the center. Burial will be in Mound City National Cemetery.

Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, Illinois, is in charge of arrangements.
