Buchanan, 73, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 1997, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born June 21, 1924, in Sikeston, son of A.B. and Ruth Hill Buchanan.
Buchanan had been an automotive parts salesman. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include an aunt, Camille Stone of Cape Girardeau.
