He was born Jan. 17, 1923, in Hammond, Ind., son of Fred Louis and Helen Bollinger.
Louis had worked at Cape Cut-Rate, Kelley Transportation, and shined shoes at Holiday Inn.

He served in the U.S. Army.
There are no survivors.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Fairmount Cemetery, with the Rev. Johnny Thomas officiating.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
