The inauguration of Cape Girardeau Central High School's Tiger Stadium on Sept. 2 wouldn't have been possible without the generosity and hard work of many benefactors and supporters, including Lloyd Ivy, CEO of MTX Audio, a leader in design, manufacturing and support of premier audio products for public address and background music systems. The first football game on Central High School turf coincided with the school's centennial. The crowd of more than 4,000 fans was treated to a sound system with Atlas speakers and subwoofers. "Lloyd Ivy provided Tiger Stadium a sound system second to none," said Neil Glass, the district's director of administrative services. "We are forever grateful for his generosity." The speaker system has 15-inch low-frequency subwoofers mounted beneath the bleachers and horn speakers mounted on utility poles above the bleachers. A native of Marble Hill, Mo., Ivy started his business at 25. He maintains a logistics facility at Marble Hill.
