The newest play from Central High School has a big cast and even bigger laughs.

"George Washington Slept Here" chronicles a man and his wife as they try to fix up an old house out in the country. The neighbors’ antics and the house collapsing around the cast set the scene for a fun night out.

According to faculty sponsor Cindy Bradshaw, the couple has no idea what they are doing.

"They're city people, and yet the husband has always wanted to live in the country. Sort of get back to his roots," she said.

The school has performed this play before, but several years have passed and Bradshaw said it's a classic script. Think the story of "Duplex" meets the cast of "Green Acres." The writers also wrote the more popular "The Man Who Came to Dinner" and "You Can't Take It With You."

The play starts at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday at the Central Junior High School auditorium.
