HONORS, ACHIEVEMENTS

* Katie Winter of Saxony Lutheran High School received the Dean's Award for Creative Achievement in Arts at an awards luncheon hosted by the Touhill Performing Arts Center at the University of Missouri in St. Louis.

* The Girardot yearbook staff and the Tiger Newspaper staff from Cape Girardeau Central High School received the Sweepstakes Trophy at the Southeast Missouri Student Press Association conference and competition. The students received the award for having the most combined points. Notre Dame Regional High School and Oran High School placed second and third overall, respectively.
