'Frozen' party at Discovery Playhouse

The Discovery Playhouse will host a "Frozen" party Jan. 30 at the playhouse, 502 Broadway in Cape Girardeau. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., pizza will be served at 6:30 and the movie "Frozen" will be screened at 7 p.m. Cost is $10 per person; preregistration is encouraged. Church men to host breakfast

The Men of St. Ambrose Church in Chaffee, Missouri, will host a whole-hog sausage breakfast from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Feb. 1 at the church. In addition, eggs and biscuits and gravy will be served. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children ages six to 12; there is no charge for those ages 5 and younger.

Trivia night has disco theme

A 10-round trivia contest will take place at 7 p.m. March 14 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jackson to benefit Gibson Recovery Center, a substance-abuse treatment center. Doors wil open at 6 p.m. The cost is $15 per person. A table of eight is $100 before March 5 and $120 after March 8. Tickets include all-you-can-eat chili, tea, coffee and soda. Alcoholic beverages, hot dogs and chilidogs will be available for purchase. Participants are encouraged to dress in disco attire. More information is available by calling 573-332-0416.

Princess tea scheduled in March

SoutheastHEALTH Foundation will host a princess tea March 28 at The Plaza by Ray's in Cape Girardeau. Sessions will take place at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tickets are $240 for a table of eight, which guarantees a group has seats together. Individual tickets are $25. The event benefits SoutheastHEALTH's pediatrics, OB and neonatal intensive care units. Tickets are available at the SoutheastHEALTH Foundation, 60 Doctor's Park Drive, in Cape Girardeau.
