MercuryMD, a company that integrates hospital data and delivers patient information to healthcare professionals' hand-held devices, have agreed to a partnership with Iatric Systems that will bring the MData Enterprise System to hospitals using MEDITECH hospital information systems.
Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau will be one of the first two sites implementing the system. The other hospital is in Oregon.
"Southeast Missouri needed a data delivery solution that was compatible with our MEDITECH information system, flexible enough to support many different hand-held devices, and easy enough to use for any clinician," said Dr. Morris Seligman, director of medical affairs for Southeast Missouri Hospital.
"Based on other hospitals' experiences with MData, we expect that MercuryMD's solution will meet these immediate needs as well as increase physician and staff productivity, save clinicians time, and allow critical data to be available at the bedside to guide key patient care decisions."
The system integrates hospital data and delivers patient information directly to clinicians' hand-held devices enabling doctors, pharmacists, nurses and other healthcare professionals to have anytime access to current and comprehensive clinical data.
This data can include up-to-date patient census lists, demographics, laboratory results, diagnostic reports, medication lists and transcribed reports. MData enables hospitals to enhance patient care, decrease medical errors and shorten length of stay by improving clinical workflow and efficiency.
Iatric Systems has been providing complementary software products and technical services to healthcare organizations throughout the United States and Canada for more than 10 years.
