NIT PROMISES TO ROCK THE HOUSE TOMMOROW NIGHT: GRACE AND STRENGTH

Talented gymnasts from across the country will compete at Southeast Missouri State University Saturday for the NIT of Women's Gymnastics. It's a golden opportunity for those who enjoy the grace and strength of gymnastics to see some of the best college talent. For example, top seeded Oklahoma is led by a member of the 1988 U.S. Olympic team, which placed fourth in Seoul, Korea.

It marks the second year for Southeast to host the event -- a real feather in the university's cap. Last year's competition drew about 4,000 fans.

Injuries have plagued the Otahkians, who placed second at last year's meet. As such, fan support could provide key encouragement to the squad.

Other teams competing Saturday at the Show Me Center include: Oklahoma, Towson state, Boise State, George Washington, Northeastern, Northern Illinois and West Virginia. Southeast and Boise State are the only teams returning from the 1993 NIT field.

It promises to be competition well worth watching.
