• Southeast Missouri State boys camp: The Southeast Missouri State men's basketball program will host a day camp for grades 1 through 8 from Monday to Wednesday. Football

• Flag football league: The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor a youth flag football league for boys ages 9 to 14. Registration will run until Aug. 21 at the A.C. Brase Arena between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Players ages 9 to 11 will compete in one division, while players ages 12 to 14 will compete in a different division. Cost: $50. Info: Chris Eastridge, 334-2523.

Golf

• Junior amateur tournament: Perryville Country Club will host the third annual Perry County Junior Amateur golf championship Aug. 7. The tournament is open to golfers ages 6 to 18. • Junior championship tournament: The Cape Elks #639 and the Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will host the sixth annual Cape Elks #639 Junior Championship golf tournament at Cape Jaycee Municipal Golf Course. The tournament, scheduled for Aug. 9, will have five age divisions for boys and girls. It will be a tee timed event. Cost: $45, which includes dinner. Miscellaneous

• 2008 Corporate Games: The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will host the 2008 Corporate Games from Sept. 14 to 26. The Games will consist of diverse team events to encourage participation from individuals of all interests and abilities. Cost: $350 for Division 1 (100 employees or more); $300 for Division 2 (26-99 employees); $250 for Division 3 (25 or fewer employees). Entry forms can be picked up at the A.C. Soccer

• Southeast Missouri State camps: The Southeast Missouri State women's soccer program will host camps for players ages 6 to 14. They will be conducted by Southeast coach Heather Nelson, assistant coach Paul Nelson as well as current and former Redhawks players. There will be a camp from Monday to Wednesday at Shawnee Park field 12 that runs from 9 to 11:30 a.m. There will be a camp from Wednesday to Aug. 8 at Shawnee Park field 12 that runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Cost: $50 per camp. Softball

• Cary Flanagan tournament: The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Development Foundation will host the fourth annual Cary Flanagan Memorial softball tournament Aug. 23 at the Shawnee Park Sports Complex. There will be a men's upper and lower division and a coed upper and lower division. Entry fee: $140 per team.
