Vandiver exhibit at museum

To the editor:The Cape River Heritage Museum is especially pleased the newest residence hall on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University has been honored with the name of Willard Duncan Vandiver.

One of the permanent exhibits at the museum revolved around the life of this gentleman. His educational and congressional activities are highlighted, and most certainly his "Show me" statement.

We urge visitors to come to the museum to learn more about this outstanding gentleman who, in his later years, was often mistaken for Mark Twain.
