Dear Editor:

Who will take "that call" - Everyone is asking you to vote for their candidate for President so I want my chance to tell you why President Bush is my choice for President to take "that call."

President Bush has valuable experience in America and more able to stand up to the world leaders. I read an article from Philip E. Bradshaw in the Southern Illinoisan, who is co-chairman of the Farmers for Bush in Illinois, and I agreed with him when he said, "The choice is a lifetime of experience against a promise." He said, "I don't want to risk my children and my grandchildren's future to a promise," and I agree.

I don't believe you have to serve in the military to be a President, but I admire those who did fight for their country. Our President was one of those brave Americans who left their family to protect our country. Today, when I see "old glory flying" I still get a lump in my throat because I known how lucky we are to live in such a great country. I cannot forget that just one year ago we saw our President lead this country in a conflict that will go down in history. The rest of the world leaders are watching this election very closely because they respect and know how important his accomplishments are to all of us.

Ask yourself - How long ago has it been since all Americans were full of fear over Europe and a nuclear war - It was on television all the time, and we lived in fear. Don't vote against President Bush because of the economy, or abortion, or any ONE issue but look at his entire record. The ballot box on Nov. 3 cannot solve "all our worldly problems" and don't let anyone try to convince us of that. We just can't afford to forget the most important thing we have in the U.S., our freedom."

Economy is not just slow in the United States, but global - Economists say things are turning around already - is it really fair to blame President Bush for everyone's problems? Is it really fair to forget the prosperity our country witnessed and enjoyed in the 80s? Is it really fair to forget what the media promised us in another election? We were promised change and prosperity but please don't forget, instead we got outright disaster.

President Bush is a quality person, trust him. He rallied world leaders into a remarkable coalition and sent 500,000 Americans into the face of battle and forced Iraq to withdraw. He's a real strength in time of trouble - and yes Barbara Bush is a real strength also. We can't afford not to have President Bush to "answer that call."
