Dear Editor: Community Pride was the order of the day! Pride on Our Side was the program theme! The activity was Invest In Cape Pride Day, Aug. 15, 1992. It was a sweeping success! A total of 45 individuals exhibited their community spirit by picking up litter in pride zone number one Pacific Street west to the Mississippi River and Good Hope Street south to Hackberry Street...

Community Pride was the order of the day! Pride on Our Side was the program theme! The activity was Invest In Cape Pride Day, Aug. 15, 1992. It was a sweeping success! A total of 45 individuals exhibited their community spirit by picking up litter in pride zone number one Pacific Street west to the Mississippi River and Good Hope Street south to Hackberry Street.
Thank you Cape Girardeau citizens! YOU deserve some praise today! We appreciate each individual and each organization Scout Troop #10, First Baptist Church, Cape Mercantile Bank, Breakfast Optimist Club; SEA Cape Committee, and the Sierra Club. You are the greatest! Also, a special thanks to our three sponsors for getting the word out to the community Southeast Missouri Builders Supply, Auto Tire and Parts and Frontier Bar-b-que.
