Support for young artists

On behalf of the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri and Southeast Missouri State University's Art Academy, I would like to thank the Southeast Missourian for its generous contribution of advertising and well-written front-page articles.

Because of your support, this year's Art Academy was able to offer scholarships to our area's youths gifted in art yet unable to afford tuition. As one scholarship recipient expressed to me during the workshop: "This is the best part of my summer."

Your continued support of our area's youths in the visual arts is very much appreciated.

An exhibit of the Art Academy's student work will be on display at the Arts Council this month, and I hope you can stop by to see it.
