Today is one of the most festive days of the year in the United States.
Super Bowl Sunday has become an unofficial holiday celebrating the most popular sport in America. It is a day for parties, gatherings and snacking.
This year's Big Game pits the Denver Broncos against the Seattle Seahawks, a game of contrasting styles. Peyton Manning leads the world's best passing offense against the toughest defense in the NFL. It should be a great football game.
The Super Bowl is the most watched televised event of the year. That means it also is the day we see some of the most creative commercials advertisers have to offer. It's always a secondary (in some cases primary) reason for watching the game.
Speaking of advertising, here's our pitch for the day: Today more people will read newspapers than watch the Super Bowl.
Now back to regular programming. We hope everyone has a great time watching the game. As always, we encourage those who drink alcohol to do so responsibly. Have fun. Be safe.
