PETE KINDER was right on when he stated that Bill Clinton is the most corrupt president we've ever had. Jesse James was never convicted of a crime because he never got caught. Bill Clinton is a modern-day Jesse James who has yet to be caught. Why do you think they call him Slick Willie?
THIS IS to the caller concerned about food handlers wearing gloves. I am the manager at a local fast-food restaurant. I just wanted this person to know that all of our managers are required to take a food safety course. We have to get certified by the state of Missouri for this course. Our handlers are not required to wear gloves because the gloves are a hazard to our employees. Gloves can get caught on certain equipment, and it can cause some serious damage to our employees. Some of the equipment in our restaurant would actually melt the gloves, and this could harm our employees. We're also required to wash and sanitize our hands once every hour. Most of the time this happens three or four times every hour. The sanitary solution that we have will kill any kind of virus or germs that may be on someone's hands. As an assistant manager, I would not want to be responsible for someone's illness, and most of us do take pride in our job and do our job well. I just hope this eases minds a little bit.
I JUST read in the paper where this woman on a ranch in Southwest Missouri found a star fish fossil. She took it to the scientists and, of course, with their all-knowing minds they dated it millions of years ago when they said the ocean covered this part of the country. Well, if it was brought here by water, it wasn't millions of years ago. It was the deluge -- in other words, Noah's flood. And that wasn't millions of years ago. That was approximately 4,346 years ago. I don't need a scientist to tell me how many years something is. I just go to the Bible. There it tells the truth.
RON FARROW chastises Peter Kinder for prejudging President Clinton. It goes on to say that he believes Clinton was elected to punish America for it's sins. Sounds like you did a little prejudging of your own, Ron.
I WANT to agree with the caller from Jackson about some city aldermen who are trying to stop development. I've been a developer over here for eight years, and I can tell you've I've done my last development in the city of Jackson. Seems like they want to argue and fight with everything that goes on.
THIS IS in response to the caller who said that the FCC should revoke the license of ABC and CBS for "Murphy Brown" and "Ellen." Well, if you don't like it, then change the channel. Some of us enjoy it.
IN REFERENCE to the comment about getting rid of the rich man's party, I would just like to say I think you're absolutely nuts if you think the union people are poor working people. They make two to three times what I do. I'm considered the poor working person, and I'm all for the Republicans coming in and getting rid of all these ridiculous socialist programs the Democrats want to put on us to raise our taxes and to take away every civil right and constitutional right we have. You need to rethink your comments a little bit and study the situation a little closer before you make such a ridiculous comment. Democrats want to tax us to death. The Republicans want the government out of our house, out of our cars and out of our wallets.
