SPEAKOUT
I JUST want to compliment Fred Lynch on that wonderful picture on the front of the Aug. 30 Sports section. That is such a great picture, and it shows all of the emotion that these boys felt. It is just a darling picture. I JUST like to say thank you to the Southeast Missourian for finally putting out a decent article on the Cape Central boys' soccer team. We've put in a lot of hard work, and it is about time we got the respect we deserved...

Soccer deserves respect
I JUST like to say thank you to the Southeast Missourian for finally putting out a decent article on the Cape Central boys' soccer team. We've put in a lot of hard work, and it is about time we got the respect we deserved.
GOP statistics
A POLL conducted to tell the difference between Democratic voters and Republican voters showed on average Republican voters were more apt to be higher educated and more religious oriented. More had started business and employed more people. Fewer were on welfare, and more Republicans knew their candidates' stand on issues and its party's platforms than the Democrats do.
Bring back God
OUR COUNTRY was founded by Christian people who believed in God. Endowed by their Creator, not the ACLU, not the atheists, not the homosexuals and not the abomination groups of our society. We need the liberal anything-goes out, and we need God values back in schools, government and lives.

Bad street planning
THIS IS to whoever planned the repaving of William Street. Bad Plan. People on the south side of town have to drive all the way across town to get home, adding 10 minutes to the trip. Nice going, guys.
A complete shambles
IT SOUNDS like the Scott County prosecutor's office is in complete shambles. It is about time somebody complained about that office. I am a Scott County concerned citizen.
Education is failing
I AM 70 years old. The public education system has been failing since the late 1950s and 1960s. When I was a child and going to school. I knew more than your college graduates know today. I learned more. I learned my ABCs, how to spell, how to pay attention and how to respect my elders. I cannot say that about the children today or the young folks or anybody today who is younger than I am.
Passing the blame
SUSAN STEEL has my deepest sympathy. Not only does she have to deal with the tragic loss of her mother, but she has to put up with people who are supposed to be intelligent passing blame on incorrect charges. I graduated from high school. I could tell you it was premeditated murder when someone stands there and waits to kill someone with a hatchet. I wonder how Christy Baker-Neel would feel if it was one of her relatives that were killed? Everyone knows what the charges would be then. This woman puts everybody to shame.
