Beginning to question
ALL THOSE protesters over the weekend got me to thinking about President Bush's war. I know we need oil, but is it really worth all that it's going to cost? I guess, I'm just beginning to question this whole thing.
Unreported epidemic
AMERICA IS in the midst of what may be the first politically incorrect epidemic in history. Liberal advocates and feminist activists have spent the past 30 years promoting sexual freedom as a path to health and happiness. The result: 8,000 teenagers are diagnosed with a sexually transmitted disease every day, and 46 percent of girls are likely to become infected with a disease right after their very first sexual encounter. Right now, one out of every four sexually active teens is infected every year with a STD. In short, an epidemic of sexually transmitted diseases is attacking our children, and the media refuse to report it.
More cameras
I WOULD like to see a camera at every stop sign, stoplight, highway and county road. I am tired of going to work and wondering if I am going to get home alive. People speed up at yellow lights, run red lights, cross over white lines, pass in the middle of intersections, run you off the road with their inconsiderate driving and squeeze in between cars that leave space in case of sudden stops. If someone in your family were killed by someone who ran a red light, I am sure you would be the first to sue that person. I welcome surveillance cameras. They do not involve my privacy. If you do nothing wrong, then you need not worry.
If only ...
A CIGARETTE-tax opponent claims that if it passes everyone will cease smoking and the already committed revenue will have to come from other sources. Ah, if only that were true.
Pro-life, anti-war
CLEARLY, IF the pro-life vote is an honest, conscience-driven vote, it will have to vote against candidates who are likely to give President Bush carte blanche to bomb, kill and maim Iraqis. This requires voting against Republicans.
Closer to home
WITH REGARD to President Bush's push for the oil war in Iraq to bring about a regime change: I also support a regime change in the White House.
Be fair to all
IN RESPONSE to "Equitable rewriting." I would like to say thank you to this author. I totally agree. If a teacher is going to let one student redo a paper, then all other students should get the chance. It should not be a secret between student and teacher.
