Get your pen out. I heard you say it recently, you've got your pen ready. Write a check, pay more taxes.
THIS is directed to the business owners and employees of the businesses in uptown Jackson: Please don't use your customers' parking places. I see business owners park their cars right in front of their business. Where do your customers park?
I read the letter to the editor regarding September being Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. As Miss Sander said, ovarian cancer is one of the most dangerous types of cancer there is. Why is there so little publicity? Why don't we have a big organized push for a cure as we have for breast cancer?

CONGRATULATIONS, Jackson. You now have gravel roads on South Farmington Road and West Washington Street. That is progress. I think you can change the name of your city to to the city of beautiful homes, churches, parks, schools and roads.
THE European Union is about to break up because some of the countries are too far in debt to pay off their creditors. We need to watch this closely. It is the future of the U.S. We have a debt and spending problem that we may not be able to work our way out of. It is very important that we slow down spending and start paying our debts.
