I agree with Jon Rust on the issue of civility he mentions in his Thursday column. The problem is he, like other "normal Republicans," asks for civility only from the opposition. Donald Trump lies, attacks, boasts, acts like a fifth grader by giving people names, the list is endless. There is nothing honorable or presidential about this person. He despises you, the Free Press, and will turn on you. He thrives off of conflict, as Mr. Rust says. His base sucks it up, especially the aptly-named deplorables. In his rallies, the supporters are frightening in their anger, screaming at the press, with a crazy look in their eyes. I would normally have written a letter to the editor, but fear the response of one of his many unhinged supporters. The civility must come from both sides, starting at the top, or nothing will change.
From the Democratic National Committee Twitter Page: "Chris Pappas is ready to make history as New Hampshire's first-ever openly LGBTQ congress member -- and we're so here for it!" This is what Democrats stand for instead of standing for our National Anthem. Sad.
State of California political system should kick Maxine Waters out of office for threatening Trump supporters.
There are several bicyclists in Cape who routinely ride with arrogant and dangerous disregard for themselves and automobiles. Two of them, young men, are particularly dangerous. These bicyclists seem to think, on one hand, they are entitled to act like they're driving cars, riding down the middle of the lane on streets wide enough for them to stay to the right of the lane. They cause cars to stack up behind them and refuse to move over. On the other hand, they want to operate like bicyclists, rolling through stop signs and red lights as if they don't exist.
Former Secretary of State John Kerry admitted today that he met "three or four times" with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif. He also admitted that he has not registered as a foreign agent. Where is the Democrat outrage?
