Genesis 12:3. It says, "And I will bless him that bless thee, curse him that curses thee, and indeed all families of the earth shall be blessed." And I just want to say that God is with Israel. And I'd like to say, God bless Israel. Yes, I suggest that in November, instead of having all these taxes, why not have a special tax to bring an Amtrak train that comes in here that goes from here to St. Louis twice a day, or either here to Memphis?...

God bless Israel

Genesis 12:3. It says, "And I will bless him that bless thee, curse him that curses thee, and indeed all families of the earth shall be blessed." And I just want to say that God is with Israel. And I'd like to say, God bless Israel.

Train option

Yes, I suggest that in November, instead of having all these taxes, why not have a special tax to bring an Amtrak train that comes in here that goes from here to St. Louis twice a day, or either here to Memphis?

Border news

When are our newspapers going to tell us the truth about these illegal border crossings? People coming across are not all young people. There's some older teenagers, some gang members. Some are even adults. They're coming across with the help of drug gangs. And when they do that, they're beholden to drug gangs. They owe money to drug gangs. And how do you think you pay back the drug gangs? These people are all going to have to be criminals in order to come across, in order to repay the drug gangs. This is a problem. And the newspapers need to tell us the truth.

Dress code

I was reading in today's paper about people complaining about the dress code and Copeland wanting to blame it on the parents. The only thing is the people are going to have to stop complaining and start doing something about it, and protest it. You know, send your kids to school in nice dress clothes or looking nice. But the only way they're going to do it is if people stick together and start changing this town.

Annoying calls

I read in the paper someone was wondering how to stop those annoying phone calls. Well, first, you have the state no-call list and the federal one. And I've had trouble with it before. I didn't realize that people move around and you have to be put under it again after five years, because people don't stay in one place. But it's hard. It's really hard to keep it enforced.

Thank God

This is to the person who called Speak Out thanking Obama for lowering gas prices. He has no idea what gas prices are, unless he happens to see the price on a sign at a gas station either going to or coming from a fundraiser or the golf course. The thanks should go to the Good Lord, because there hasn't been a major hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico and the conflicts in the Middle East are no worse than they are. So, I think you should put your thanks where it should be.

Media, Democrats

Although I don't really expect much from what is known as the main stream media, which is really Obama and the Democrat press, I'm sure whenever we get a Republican president they'll have lots of things to talk about, such as the ridiculous profit of the oil companies such as there was when there was a Republican president every day, how horrible that was. Of course, gas was only $1.79 a gallon then.

States rights

I think it's time for a good, old government shutdown but never to come back. Let each state handle their own situation.

Unfair policy

I'd just like to comment on the dress code for Cape Central High School in Cape Girardeau. Personally, I don't have any kids in the high school anymore or in the school system anymore, but I believe the dress code is nothing but a joke. I think the only reason we have a dress code is because there were a few students who would not wear their pants up to their waist like they were supposed to or there were a few students who were wearing tops that were inappropriate. So instead of targeting the people who were creating the problem, what did Cape Central High School school board do? They targeted everybody -- which is not fair.
