Can anyone tell me just when, during the past 30 years, human evolution went into reverse? I've got a compromise solution certain to bring an end to our national time of troubles. Send Hillary Clinton to jail in exchange for President Trump's resignation? Good idea?...

Why beer?
I know my little opinion will not matter, and the beer issue will pass for the movie theater. But for the life of me, I cannot understand why everything in this world revolves around beer. As we sit and watch a movie, the smell of alcohol will be every where. Why, why, why can't a soda be OK? Little children watching a movie should not have to deal with this.
Not for political points
Republican lawmakers: We don't want to cover medical cost for children and the elderly. Oh, wait -- we do if the baby is brain dead, white and from a "good country" -- and has a million-plus dollars to spend on care. Charlie Gard needs to stay in England. His not quite life/death should not become political hay for a bunch of U.S. politicians who suddenly want to grant him citizenship for who want to use him for political points.

Finger-pointing
The current Administration and Congress are blaming the media, the former president(s), any party but theirs, and anyone else they can think to excuse their lack of accomplishing anything. The real fault is that they have no plans, no detailed agenda, nothing beyond cutting taxes for the wealthy. The Party of No has a set of talking points but no real ability to govern.
Self promotion
I am not steeped in journalistic ethics but it would stun me to find out that there is nothing ethically challenging about allowing a Southeast Missourian employee and member of the editorial board to take up a huge chunk of space on the Opinion page hawking her own products.
Collusion proof
Donald Trump Jr. just let the cat out of the bag. For months Trump and his people said that there was no Collusion with Russia. But the emails that Donald Trump Jr. posted on Twitter shows that is now a lie.
Alcohol outrage
I find it an absolute outrage to allow alcohol sales at the movie theater in Cape. Many families take young children there. Why would we want to expose children to this? I for one will never take my grandchildren there again if this passes. Really, all in the name of a dollar! Use some common sense people.
