You can talk about ‘social justice' all you want. But who is taxed, how much they are taxed, whether they are taxed, whether they receive kickbacks from the government based upon their chosen lifestyle or life circumstances -- it all boils down to letting morally bankrupt politicians take money from the hardworking and the responsible citizen to pay for goodies that politician has promised to the least industrious among us, or to those incurring the consequences of their irresponsible life choices. All this in order to buy votes to get elected and re-elected. So their campaign message is a simple one: "Vote for me, I'll give you free stuff; vote for the other guy and you get no free stuff." Then they label the other party "the party of no." That is not social justice or any other kind of justice. That is pure evil.
I am a landlord and this is a response to the person who thinks there is no difference between a pet and a little child. The difference is that your pets have claws; your children don't. The claws tear up the carpet, they tear up the floor, they tear up the walls, they stink when they poop and pee. Your kids poop and pee in a diaper. That is the reason landlords don't like to have animals.
As a taxpayer in Missouri, I would like to bring it to the attention of the administration at Southeast Missouri State University that there are a great number of their employees who spend an inordinate amount of time on Facebook. If they don't have enough to do at their job, maybe their jobs ought to be combined or eliminated. It is a significant waste of taxpayer money.
When I look at ObamaCare I think, finally someone did something. Did not the Republicans have their chance to put forth a reasonable health plan before Obama? It certainly was needed.
This is for all the bird lovers out there. Remember they do carry diseases. Please think twice before putting your feeders and birdhouses out. Have some courtesy for your neighbors and their children. Putting feeders close to cooking, sitting or pool areas is really not a good idea. Also, putting them close to an area where the children play is really bad.
I am trying to sit here and enjoy my evening off at home watching TV, but it seems like I have a drug pusher in my living room. Every commercial is pushing pills.
Why should the city of Cape Girardeau pay anybody to pick up litter when we have enough convicts sitting in jail to do it for free?
I want to put in Speak Out about the people who mow their lawns and blow the grass in the road and leave it there. I know that in Jackson there is an ordinance and I wish that somehow people would not do that. It is nasty looking and if you want to walk around your neighborhood, you have to walk out into the road in order to walk. It would be nice if people took care of their property. It is a beautiful area that we live in between Cape and Jackson.
