David Limbaugh recently asked where the freedom-loving Democrats are and why they are silent as our freedoms continue to slip away. The answer is that the very few who exist are now drunk with the power that they enjoy under the Obama "rule." With the complete support of the mainstream media, they are "transforming America," just as he said they would. Conservative Democrats are not stupid; they know that what they are doing is wrong for America and is weakening America every day in so many ways. But, they simply lack the backbone and character necessary to stand up for what is right.
Someone recently wrote that he is always hearing about Obama being the "worst president ever" and he tried to show that George Bush was far worse than Obama. This writer suffers the blindness and naiveté that afflicts every one of the Obama idolizers. The difference between George Bush and Obama is that Bush made mistakes, but he did so in trying to do what was best for the country. Obama on the other hand could care less what is good for the country or what happens to our country. Our country is declining in every possible manner under Obama's "rule."
I am calling in reference to a comment in Sunday's paper. It's called "The stoplights, drivers," about the drivers who run the red lights. I want to say that I totally agree. Drivers at the stoplights need to remember that there are other people who are going to be going through a green light. One of the worst lights in our town that is very well underlooked would be Clark and Broadway. I pick my child up every day, Monday through Friday, and that is probably one of the most run red lights you will ever see on Broadway or in this town. And that's saying a lot for William and Kingshighway.
If there was any lingering doubt about the quality of ball games being played at Shawnee Park, it should be laid to rest by the recent attendance at some games by none other than Cardinal great, Jim Edmonds.
Congratulations to Keith Seyer for losing more than 200 pounds through a rigorous diet and exercise regimen. Since obesity, sometime morbid, runs rampant in the nation, Seyer should serve as an example to all who seek to lose weight, either for cosmetic reasons, medical reasons or both. What an inspirational story! Thank you, KFVS TV.
Thank you for reporting on the risqué tweet sent out from the SEMO athletic department. I am confident that the athletic director will take full responsibility for the now viral tweet and that the person or persons responsible for sending it out will be held accountable.
This message is for the city council of Cape. I wish that Mayor Rediger and some of the other council members would come out here on Perryville Road and Lexington, where it crosses at Wink's and look at these potholes that are a foot deep in the concrete. It's an obstacle course that you can hardly get through without hitting. And if you hit one of these holes, your alignment in your vehicle is going to be out and you'll be going and paying about $100 to have your vehicle realigned, if you don't bust a tire. This has been going on for several weeks. And we have several supervisory employees of the city who live out here, that travel Perryville Road several times a day, and they know about these holes.
