Forced starvation
I am willing to spend the maximum of 90 days in jail by ignoring Cape Girardeau's new ordinance. As a matter of conscientious objection, I will not participate in a forced starvation policy to try to thin the population of deer.
Political signs
It is starting again. Political signs blocking the view of cars at intersections. There is one already on Mount Auburn Road at the intersection of Keystone Drive. You can't see the traffic on Mount Auburn Road unless you pull part of the way out on the street. I just hope they have a lot of money, as I am sure if there is an accident they will be sued. I sure would. Don't know why the city does not have a law against that. They do for the little garage sale signs.
Lacking character
A memo has surfaced that shows that President Obama may have covered his bets so that if the Osama bin Laden operation didn't pan out right, he would be protected. He wouldn't have responsibility for the operation. Big surprise! Obama has never taken responsibility for anything, and he never will. He is 100 percent political with eyes for only one thing: getting re-elected. He is the most lacking in character of any modern politician with the possible exception of John Edwards, and certainly the most lacking of any president in history. It is totally beyond him to even consider protecting his team and shouldering the responsibility for something that didn't work out.

Romney's behavior
Mitt Romney's bully boy behavior in high school is relevant to the presidential election because it carried over into his brash disregard for the displacement of American workers while at Bain Capital.
Keynesian approach
Someone asked, so here is an example. South Korea is a country that has pulled out of bad economic times by using a Keynesian approach to massively stimulate its economy. On the other hand, it has just dawned on various European governments that their austerity budgets during times of recession were counterproductive and were paving the way for the total collapse of their countries.
Traffic lights
Who is it in Cape Girardeau that manages the traffic lights? I would like to offer him or her some hemlock. We have the worst system of traffic light coordination in the country. Coordination refers to the timing of the signals so that a "platoon" of cars traveling on a street arrives at a succession of green lights and proceeds through multiple intersections without stopping. A well-coordinated signal system can enhance traffic flow, reduce delay and minimize pollution and gas consumption. On Kingshighway I have to stop at every stop light. Why? This person should have to explain their logic on stopping every vehicle at every light.
Ridiculous citations
What a joke, a summons for feeding deer. Cape Girardeau police don't write tickets for anything anymore anyway. Next we'll cite grandma for planting her flowers.
