I have cut out Mia Pohlman’s column from April 10. What an inspiring message she wrote: “I am going fishing,” talking about Peter going back to the place Jesus called him the first time, now waiting for the renewal of that calling. What a message! Thanks, Mia!

Vehicle removal

Kudos to Jeff Maurer and the others whose development investment bodes well for downtown Cape Girardeau. Having said that, we need to be reminded that transportation is far and away the leading cause of climate change. Thus, since traffic in downtown Cape will increase substantially as a result of the development, I hereby call on the city council to make downtown car- and truck-free.

Silence on Trump

It’s finally official: Donald Trump won the Republican presidential primary in Missouri. Can we get some quotes on that from current Missouri Republican office holders and/or those seeking election. So far, their silence is deafening.
